Patiently awaiting the arrival of Baby Stella | Colorado Maternity Photographer

My husband and I are pregnant with our first child and we could not be more excited!  As a photographer it is extremely important to me to capture every bit of this pregnancy.  I have taken weekly pictures in one of those fun baby apps, had fall maternity photos taken in beautiful Colorado as we were in peak leaf peeping season, and then amazing snowy pictures on a beautiful Sunday afternoon as big fluffy snowflakes fell. But there was one picture I had been dying to capture.  It was a picture I had seen on Pinterest and had been longing for.  It is the classic silhouette image in front of a lit Christmas tree. But, to capture this picture I needed a decorated Christmas tree and my due date was December 1st.  So it was important that as my due date approached we get this tree and get it up and at least put lights on it.  On November 25th we went and got that tree!  In my true procrastination form it took me until the 27th to get the lights on it and on the 28th I finally got “THE” picture I had been dying to take, and it turned out perfectly.  And it turns out that I got that picture just on time!  It was only a few days later that our Baby Stella arrived. Being a parent is everything I imagined and more!  It has involved long late nights, a million diaper changes and an insane amount of laundry. But it has also come with hours and hours of baby snuggles and most importantly it has come with so much unconditional love.  Being a Mom is my greatest blessing in life and I can’t wait for a lifetime of fun and a new little human to photograph every single day!
